Birding

Rancho Encantado and the surrounding area is a birder and bird photographer's paradise.

Guided birding excursions may be arranged to archaeological sites and other locations around Rancho Encantado. The excursions are guided by Luis Tellez, acclaimed bird and wildlife photographer.

We have created a partial, but very extensive, checklist of birds found in and around Rancho Encantado, Laguna Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
